The R-Leaf® is a ground-breaking patented technology designed to convert atmospheric nitrogen oxides into plant available nitrogen. 

The R-Leaf® for Climate-Smart Agriculture Project is a collaborative effort aimed at transforming maize production in Ghana through innovative crop nutrition and sustainable environmental management technologies. The six-month field trial at the Forest and Horticultural Crops Research Centre and at the IAST Greenhouse site has ended and the dissemination of the results has been scheduled as follows: 

 

 Date: Tuesday and Wednesday , 24th to 25th February, 2026
 Time: 10:00 – 13:00 GMT (including networking lunch)
 Venue: British High Commission, Julius Nyere Link, Accra
 Targeted Audience: Research institutions and universities, agronomists, R&D partners, carbon project developers

This technical forum will present the latest findings from the UK–Brazil–Ghana Climate-Smart Agriculture project,
The seminar features:
• R-Leaf® technology mechanisms, its agronomic benefits and best practice
• New research results from Ghana maize field trials
• N₂O greenhouse gas removal methodology and alignment with carbon accounting standards
• Cross-country insights from Ghana–Brazil comparative trials
• Roundtable discussions on research priorities, technology barriers, and future
