Short Course: Contemporary Approaches for Safe, Healthy and Quality Fruit and Vegetable Production
The Institute of Applied Science and Technology has developed a 4-modular course in contemporary approaches for safe, healthy and quality fruit and vegetable production with funding from the Skills Development Fund (SDF). This course will be piloted from 7th to 16th May 2019.
Couse Objective
The course is designed to attract vegetable and fruit farmers, the youth and women into agriculture and to promote a more advanced and comfortable farming technology. It is also to equip and build capacity of beneficiaries with the necessary knowledge and skills in protected and controlled environment agriculture.
Course Modules
Module 1: Controlled Environment Agriculture
Module 2: Plant Protection
Module 3: Postharvest Technology
Module 4: Entrepreneurship and Farming as a Business
